Speakeasy Therapy is a well established independent therapy team with contracts with independent schools, mainstream schools, families and Local Authorities across the East Midlands.
We are currently going through huge growth and expansion which has created lots of exciting roles within the team with a further opportunity opening up within our Derbyshire team. We are looking for an enthusiastic Paediatric SALT who would like to join a team of 30 staff members consisting of both Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists.
The role is based full time around the Derbyshire area working with children in specialist and mainstream school environments as well as directly with families in their homes.
The role is suitable for NQT's - through to Band 6 with the role adapted accordingly with supervision and responsibilities. There will also be the opportunity to be involved in supporting adults and children on the Autism Spectrum Assessment pathway in joining a number of the team who are ADOS trained as well as completing Developmental Histories and School Observations.
Working closely with schools and families you will get the chance to work with a small caseload providing a large amount of intervention and build strong therapeutic relationships. You will get to enjoy flexible working hours, a reduced working week during school holidays as well as a 2 week guaranteed closure / leave period at Christmas, allowing for a nice work life balance.
Working independently we get to offer high levels of intervention and lead on our timetables to ensure that we give the best quality service based on the children's needs.
You will have the chance to work alongside the rest of the team in the Speakeasy office as well as working autonomously in schools, homes and some online home working.
High levels of supervision and training are established within the team, high levels of external training opportunities as well as MDT working with our team of OTs.
All applicants must hold a degree in Speech and Language Therapy and be registered with HCPC and RCSLT. A driving license is desirable.
Salary and banding is dependent on experience and in line with AFC. Full employment, pay and conditions provided.
