**HSEQ Advisor**

£33,000(£37,000 with bonus)+ company car+ fuel card

Once/week travel to London+ site visits

Reporting directly to the HSEQ manager, the HSEQ Advisor role is to ensure compliance of staff and delivery partners to legislation and other identified requirements regarding health, safety environment and quality. And through engagement drive performance improvement, playing a key part of the success of F&W install/build programme. The role is performed in the areas of business deployment at south and west surroundings of the M25 corridor in London.

**Key Areas of responsibility**:

- Carrying out site inspections of delivery partners to ensure HSEQ compliance.
- Engaging with delivery partners to ensure quick resolution of issues and gain understanding of root causes.
- Identifying and assessing HSEQ hazards and their risks.
- Ensuring operational controls are implemented and monitored.
- Assist in identifying areas for improvement.
- Coordinating HSEQ issues with employees.
- Providing advice and information on HSEQ matters to staff and others as applicable.
- Coaching and mentoring F&W staff to build confidence in understanding HSEQ as a whole
- Lead/assist in complaint / incident investigations.
- Assist in compilation of performance reports and data analysis.
- Lead by example - demonstrating the right values and behaviours.
- Representation at Improvement Groups.
- Publication of internal communications and HSEQ newsletters.
- Completion of audits according to the internal audit programme.
- Increasing the HSEQ competence and awareness of staff at all levels through the development of training and awareness initiatives and sharing of best practice.

**Skills required**:

- NEBOSH General certificate in OH&S.
- TechIOSH membership.
- Minimum 1 year experience in similar role.
- ISO internal audit 9001/14001/45001 experience.

Desired competence and experience
- Previous Openreach PIA Fibre / telecoms installation experience.
- Previous experience in utility sector.
- Understanding of New Roads and Street Works Act.
- Understanding of Openreach CP08/CP10 and associated H&S training.

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
