This is a fixed term post until March 2026 due to funding.

If you are a Swansea Bay University Health Board employee this post will only be offered on a secondment basis and you will need to have gained your line managers approval for the secondment prior to going to interview.

The post holder will be required to support, facilitate and monitor the progress of projects, and will work closely with the required team to deliver this change. Working as part of the Transformation Team, the post holder will also project manage the implementation and use of PROMs (patient reported outcome measures) for the project; being fully trained, supported and mentored by an experienced VBHc Project Manager. This is an ideal role for someone looking to gain practical project management experience.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities of the Post

To plan, support, facilitate and monitor elements of projects or work streams throughout the project lifecycle to deliver benefits using project management methodology.

Manage a project. a work package or a work-stream, taking appropriate actions such as monitoring progress against plans and reporting any slippage or capturing and monitoring progress against issues and risks, and escalating changes to risk and issue status as appropriate.

Manage elements of a project or assist with elements of a more complex project to deliver strategic objectives.

The post holder will be required to support, facilitate and monitor the progress of projects, and will work closely with the required team to deliver this change. They will also be required to provide support, training and guidance to other project staff where applicable.

The Project Support Officer will also be responsible for ensuring that project documentation is developed and maintained, lead on project team meetings and keep the momentum going.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
