RDL Scientific are seeking a Trainee Technical Coordinator to provide assistance to Technical Coordinators at a Clinical Unit based in Cambridge for a leading Pharmaceutical Company.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assisting projects for changes to equipment and clinical/lab systems within CUC. Risk management/change controls, liaison with vendors, decommissioning of old equipment/system, purchase & delivery of new equipment/system, commissioning of new equipment/system and assisting in validation e.g. Surveyor Central Monitoring System, Pager System, Mortara ECG machines.
- Weekly/Monthly Routines i.e. Oxygen Cylinder checks/iStat Analyser calibration, bedside device times resets
- Liaising with LIS to manage equipment servicing/maintenance
- Liaising with vendors for delivery of new equipment and Laboratory Instruments Support (LIS) to ensure correct maintenance schedule and asset tagging is performed
- Resolving technical issues with equipment being used on study
- Engaging with a vendor to resolve persistent technical issues or arranging vendor visits or equipment dispatch to resolve significant equipment failure, whilst engaging LIS
- Ordering consumables and study specific/capital equipment
- Arranging the correct disposal of old equipment
- Training staff how to use of study related equipment e.g. Surveyor Telemetry system, Spirometers, Holter monitors
- Update study equipment forms
- Create user guide/instruction for equipment/systems
You will also be assisting with the validation team on document review and testing, raising change controls for changes to equipment/systems that are validated to maintain validation process in audit readiness and liaising with validation team to keep them updated with any requirements for validation e.g. Validation Monthly Update, new equipment/system.
Qualities:
- Previous experience of Working within a Clinical Trials Unit would be beneficial
- Knowledge and Experience with Change Controls and CAPA
- Strong IT Skills and Previous IT troubleshooting Experience required
- Alphadas skills desirable
