We have an exciting opportunity for a permanent Contracts & Quality Officer to join the Contracts and Quality Team within Adult Social Care. The team is currently part of an ongoing restructure of the Contract & Quality team into two separate teams - a centrally based Contracts Team and a Quality Assurance team based within Adult Care. This role will be part of the future Quality Assurance Team.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to join the team ensuring the Adult Care commissioned services deliver good quality care & support to citizens in Bristol and to support best practice in organisations which may include Care Homes, Homecare and Community services

You will be passionate about services for people that are high quality, good value for money and most importantly, make a significant difference in people's lives. You will be involved in the monitoring and evaluation of services to continually improve their quality and flexibility and expected to take appropriate action in instances of poor service quality.

You will provide professional advice and input to colleagues within the Adults & Communities Directorate and external partners to improve health, social care and housing outcomes for the citizens of Bristol through successful quality assurance. You will develop and maintain effective links with commissioning contracts and operational staff, other agencies and providers.

You will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to and understanding of equalities issues, and particularly their relationship to social care. You will also recognise the current challenges for Social Care and their impact on commissioning, performance and quality.

You will be based in City Hall/ work from home but expected to travel throughout Bristol for meetings, workshops etc. You will need to be well-organised and able to work flexibly as part of the Commissioning team and with others.
