Maintenance Team Leader

**What will you be doing?**:
As Maintenance Coordinator you’ll be leading and supporting a team of Maintenance Assistants who provide multi-disciplined reactive maintenance services to funeral homes, food stores and manufacturing sites located in the West & East Midlands and surrounding areas, as well as at the Support Centre based in the heart of Lichfield.
Providing leadership, coaching and change management support, you will help to ensure the delivery of an industry leading reactive maintenance service.
In this varied role, you’ll also be coordinating/collaborating with specialist contractors when managing emergency works relating to site closures and trading impact. You’ll be helping to make sure that these works are carried out with mínimal operational disruption.
As well as providing the first line of support to the team, you’ll be providing on the job and systems training and be responsible for QHSE and safe systems of working.
Reactive maintenance jobs may include fabric work, F&F, plumbing, decorating, carpentry, and landscaping. You’ll ensure that these jobs are carried out within agreed times.
You’ll be managing tools, materials, PPE, and Trade Accounts as well as managing the work orders in our maintenance portal.
Acting as a co-operative and supportive team member within the Facilities team, you’ll help to promote an open and effective working relationship with all colleagues, stakeholders and 3rd parties.
**How will I know if I am right for this role?**:
This role would suit someone who can bring previous experience from a similar role as well as a relevant trade qualification.
You’ll have a strong knowledge of Health & Safety in the workplace, as well as multi-site experience
- retail preferrable.
You’ll be comfortable and familiar in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders as well as confident in communicating with both internal and external colleagues.
