**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

We are looking for Technical Operatives (also known as ‘Tech Ops’) to join our #WeAreMcCain family.

It would be your role to ensure our products are packed to company standard which includes:

- Running the potato peeling machines within the department
- Evaluating the quality of Raw Materials
- Completing daily paperwork and processes
- Completing product variety changes

All whilst maintaining high quality, hygiene, maximum production, and a high level of safety - our number one priority here at McCain.

**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**

You might have never worked in a food manufacturing environment before, and that’s OK We’re quick learners here at McCain, so we can teach you everything you need to know.

However, we are looking for someone who can really make a difference to our plant, who brings experience of working in a team, the ability to work closely with their manager, and who has a real ability to bring people along a change journey with them.

You must also have
- A keen eye for continuous improvement and who will strive to find areas to enhance our line operations within our plant.
- The ability to work at pace, without jeopardising quality and standards.
- A team player who can play towards creating our winning culture.
- A passion for quality with an eye for detail.

**WHERE WILL I WORK?**

You'll be based at our Whittlesey plant in Peterborough in a part of our factory based between Agriculture Receiving and Production Process - this is where we ensure the equipment is utilised to its full potential to deliver potatoes from the Peelers to the cutting area.

If you’ve spotted our three wind turbines, then you’ll know where we are With about 400 employees on site, we’re one of our largest plants across the GB business. Our Whittlesey plant is where we make our famous French Fries as well as our chilled products, such as our Shake Shake Fries.

This position will be following a rotational shift pattern of 2 days on, 1 day off, 2 nights on, 3 days off. Each shift is 12 hours.
