Kenyon Road Haulage Limited; part of the OTIF Group of Companies are an established haulier based in Blackburn in Lancashire.

We are currently looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant - Purchase Ledger to support our busy Finance function on a permanent basis, with a view to an apprenticeship.

The purpose of the Accounts Assistant is to ensure the timely input of purchase invoices and month end procedures relating to the purchase ledger.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- To post purchase invoices to Sage daily
- Reconcile supplier statements on a regular basis
- Reconcile purchase invoices to the PO System
- Bank and Credit Card reconciliation
- To communicate payment dates and remittances with our suppliers
- To ensure all purchase invoices are signed by the relevant parties if no PO is raised
- Allocate payments to purchase invoices

Person Specification:

- Organised and Reliable
- Able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, and to work to strict deadlines
- Work well in a team, and have excellent communication skills
- Able to use own initiative and be adaptable
- Confident and a Problem Solver
- Knowledge of Sage would be advantageous.
- Committed to providing accurate information.
