Chief Nursing Information Officer

The Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO) role combines knowledge of patient care, informatics, technology and change management to effectively address the information and knowledge needs of healthcare professionals and patients to promote safe, effective, and efficient use of Digital Health solutions in clinical settings with the ultimate aim of improving patient outcomes.
The post holder will act as a change agent working with nursing and clinical leadership teams in the identification, development, planning, implementation, and measurement of initiatives that deliver the digital strategy to support quality patient care and professional practiceThe role will provide clinical informatics leadership and help drive understanding and adoption of digital health systems and the use of data within our nursing and allied health professional workforce.
The CNIO will work at a strategic level bringing nursing experience and engaging with key stakeholders to ensure patient and clinical involvement and clinical safety in the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of systems and services such as the Electronic Patient Record, Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration system and other Digital Health solutions.
