As Smart Choice Metering continues to grow, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Trainer to join our established team at our offices in Trafford Park, Manchester.

**Role and Responsibilities (but not limited to)**:

- To instruct new starters on all electrical testing procedures
- To carryout assessments as per MACOPA guidelines
- Demonstrate and instruct on how to correctly install domestic pipework and gas meters
- Demonstrate and instruct how to install electric smart meters (SMET 2)
- To invigilate and mark exams
- Ensure that all new starters have all the correct PPE and tools required to carry out both types of meter exchange
- Book courses with other companies i.e., asbestos awareness and CMA1
- Track and monitor existing engineer’s qualifications to ensure that they are all up to date
- Carryout drug tests and colour blindness tests

**Experience Required**:

- CCN1/MET1 or equivalent smart metering diploma
- MOCOPA Qualified
- QA Level 3 in education and training or equivalent
- 18th edition
- Gas Safe Qualified

**Competencies**:

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the electric / gas industry
- Determining and assessing the company’s training and employee’s development needs
- Able to work with employees, human resource team, management, and 3rd party partners to ensure the achievements of all training requirements are met
- Managing employee training, schedule additional training with external resources for specialist training
- Monitoring and assessing effectiveness and success of the training process
- IT skills, Power point, Word, and Excel
