Blended home working opportunities available for 111 Senior Clinical Advisors

We are looking to recruit a small number of 111 Clinical Advisors to work 50% of their time at home and 50% in one of our call centres based in Wakefield (WF1 2UQ) or Rotherham (Wath upon Dearne) (S63 7EF).

You must have at least 12 months recent 111 experience and hold a full up to date Pathways licence

You should have a private area to work from at all times when working from home

Be flexible to work between the hours of 8am and midnight

Rota’s will have a requirement to work 3/4 weekends and 6/8 public holidays

All IT equipment will be provided (office equipment (chair, desk etc. is not provided and is the responsibility of the applicant)

What will the role entail?

As a Senior Clinical Advisor you will focus on a single patient at any time by giving them your full professional attention. You’ll be assessing a wide breadth of health and clinical needs for various age ranges and using your professional clinical judgement, supported by decision support software, to assess and deliver care.

Main duties of the job

**To excel in this role you will**:

- Be registered with an appropriate regulatory body (e.g. HCPC, NMC) with current valid registration.
- Possess a minimum of 3 years post qualification experience in more than 1 setting
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Have a high level of clinical reasoning
- Be able to deal sensitively with distressing, emotional situations
- Be able to work with a variety of clinical specialists to ensure safe clinical processes for patients
- Be committed to self-development and maintaining your skills
- Have the flexibility to meet service needs and the enthusiasm to deliver high quality patient care

Unsocial hours payments

All time on Saturday (midnight to midnight) and any week day after 8 pm and before 6 am

Time plus 30%

All time on Sundays and Public Holidays (midnight to midnight)

Time plus 60%

You will complete a short work-based exercise (this will be similar to what you are already doing as part of your current role) and if successful at this part be progressed onto a structured but informal interview. (This will be where we will ask you to tell us about times when you’ve demonstrated the competencies that are important to succeed in this role). We’ll also tell you all about the role and answer any questions that you may have.
