**Summary**

We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team at Lochend Farm Shop. In this role, you will be responsible for creating delicious plates of food from our menu, celebrating local and Scottish ingredients, many of which are grown on the farm. Your passion for good wholesome food and commitment to quality will play a vital role in our café's success.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare our wholesome homemade daily specials, breakfasts, soups, flans and hot filled rolls
- Prepare our homemade pie and savoury pastry range for sale in our shop
- Prepare homemade deserts and baking alongside our existing team
- Ensure all dishes meet quality standards for taste and presentation
- Work together with our existing kitchen team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen and minimising waste of ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist with stock management and ordering of supplies and ingredients
- Collaborate with kitchen and café staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
- Experiment with new recipes and dish ideas to enhance the current offering

**Requirements**:

- Proven recent experience as a cook/chef in a similar role
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
- Positive can-do attitude
- Willingness to step in and help with ad hoc jobs as necessary

Weekend work will be required in this role on a rota basis. Pay in line with experience starting at £13 per hour.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
