**Location**: Solent based, 3-4 days a week in the office

**Term**: Permanent, Full-Time Permanent

We are seeking an individual, who has experience in, and is comfortable, making and taking calls on daily basis, collating information, accurate record keeping and experience of customer service in an office environment.

The role will involve working within a well-established team, assisting with handling property claims. This includes (but is not limited to): taking calls from policy holders who are looking to raise a claim, finding out the details of the incident, recording and updating records of claims within the system.

You will then be keeping customers updated on the progress of their claim and settling small value claims (following a training period). We’ll provide you with the training and tools that you need to help develop your skills and knowledge.

**Your skills**:

- Previous knowledge of experience within an insurance company would be advantageous but not essential. However you must have an interest in working within the insurance industry.
- Able to develop and maintain a close working relationship with the customers, to promote customer satisfaction during all stages of the claim.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with customers, clients, and colleagues.
- Comfortable making and receiving calls, which sometimes rise to high-volume during busy periods.
- The ability to prioritise your workload effectively.
- The ability to work on your own initiative.
- The ability to develop and maintain a close working relationship with our customers, to promote customer satisfaction during all stages of the claim.
- Ability to demonstrate understanding and empathy throughout.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Existing or intention to progress your career within this industry, with access to industry relevant qualification.
