We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly-motivated Nursing Associate to join our friendly, supportive and exciting family team on Ward T7, based in Oldham hospital and part of the Northern Care Alliance.

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Nursing Associate to join our fast paced and extremely rewarding unit.

**Main duties of the job**:
AMU is a 48 bedded acute admissions ward.

.We are looking for a highly skilled individual who is able to care for both complex and acute surgical orthopaedic patients.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated nursing associate with a passion for delivering high standards of care. The Unit receives patients from throughout the Greater Manchester region, accepting transfers in and out and therefore excellent communication skills are essential.

- Degree / diploma in nursing studies(or equivalent nursing qualification and experience)

**Desirable criteria**:

- Evidence of mentorship qualification

**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Understanding of the scope of the role of the Nursing Associate in context of the nursing and interdisciplinary team and the organisation, and how the role may contribute to service development
- Understanding of the importance of following procedures and treatment plans
- Knowledge of when to seek advice and escalate to the appropriate professional for expert help and advice

**Abilities**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Ability to take part in reflective practice and clinical supervision activities
- Ability to organise and prioritise own delegated workload
- Ability to communicate effectively (written, verbal and non verbal communication) with patients/relatives and carers and all members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to support, supervise, assess and act as a role model to nursing associate students, other learners and health care support workers as required within the clinical setting.
- Maintain high standards of quality in corporate and clinical record keeping ensuring information is always recorded accurately, appropriately and kept up to date
