Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Logistics Site Manager for a large worldwide Freight Forwarder. The company is based in the Lutterworth.

Job Description:

- Site Manager - Overseeing a Logistics warehouse total of 21 (office and warehouse).

¦Overall accountability for the smooth day to day running of the 120,000 sq ft warehouse function

¦Recruitment and team building all staff at Lutterworth site

¦Managing circa 200 pallet movements in and out of the business every day, 5 days per week

¦Looking after 3,000+ pallets of our valued client's stock

¦Supervise 1 Assistant Warehouse Managers and 3 Supervisors across both operation and customer service and mentor them to lead their subsequent teams

¦Review current process, improve and add new processes as required with Logistics Engineering Team

¦Liaise with Assistant Warehouse Manager & C/S Supervisor to ensure compliance and safety is always at the forefront of what we do

¦Manage Departmental Budgets & improve profitability

¦Ensure all current activities are reviewed and all work completed is of a satisfactory standard and the client is charged correctly

¦Liaise internally with the transport and customer service function to ensure the business is aware of any potential failures, delays or issues that may impact the operation or customer base

¦Managing & motivating of an overall team of 21 staff via assistant manager, supervisors and deputies
Overall accountability for agency staff and the temp to perm process

¦Stakeholder Management with arrangement of regular meeting with the client
- Set-up a project plan and select members to the team of each involved department
- Support or coordinate the execution of the project plan
- Prepare progress reporting for in

- Monitor project budget Innovation
- Test and trial new technology in the area of automated guided vehicles, co-bots and
administrative automation
- Review existing processes and determine potential for innovation
- Map suppliers of relevant technologies who may be suitable as a partner in a pilot project to test the technology in a real-life environment
- Select and lead the execution of a pilot. Evaluate and share the outcome with the EMEA logistics community
