Warehouse Operative

We are seeking a **Warehouse Operative** to join our team and support Sysco's Project and Service activities. This critical role ensures the smooth running of our warehouse, accurate inventory management, and upholding health and safety standards.

**About the Role**:

- Perform warehouse tasks, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
- Support production and logistics, ensuring efficient transport planning and stock movement.
- Process and vest all incoming goods on the same day, ensuring stakeholders are informed of arrivals and dispatches.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through organised record-keeping and regular audits.
- Assist with general manufacturing and waste management duties, including lifting heavy packages, working at heights, and using tools in the workshop.
- Act as the primary Health & Safety contact for the warehouse, promoting a safe working environment.
- Coordinate collections and deliveries, occasionally driving company vans.

You are pragmatic, upbeat, and have excellent attention to detail. With lots of energy, you hate being bored and thrive on completing tasks accurately while using initiative to support the team. You’re a systematic thinker with a strong sense of accountability and a natural drive to exceed expectations.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Experience in warehouse or technical environments
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable with physically demanding tasks such as lifting and working at heights.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- A strong sense of accountability and a natural drive to exceed expectations
- Computer literate, with knowledge of Google and Microsoft systems.
- Valid driver’s licence; forklift experience is a plus.

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
