Sharp Consultancy are acting as the exclusive partner for a highly reputable and instantly recognisable client within the Sheffield region who due to significant business growth, now need to appoint a new Finance Manager.
You will join the business within a newly created role to lead one of the divisions of the business as it embarks on the next stage of its development and growth with a high-end product for key customers.
The role is a commercially biased one, which will give you access to business leaders and key decision makers, but you will still need a level of technical experience especially at key times within the business and to help lead members of the team who fallwithin your leadership.
The business has a range of key clients and is a solution specialist providing key business products and support across particular projects.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
*Reporting directly into the Group FD with full responsibility for the day-to-day financial management and reporting of the division
*Ideally you will have already worked at a management or leadership level with responsibility for process implementation, MI and levels of change management regarding either a growth or a start-up scenario
*You will be responsible for the P&L, budgeting and Forecasting of the new division with board level involvement
*Develop robust processes for business reporting as well as leading the divisional year end and other adhoc duties associated
*Management of a small team which includes qualified and non-qualified accountants as well as transactional support team.
All applicants will be qualified, and it is essential you can show a clear level of drive and commercial decision making.
You must possess strong communication skills, be comfortable communicating across all levels and have the required gravitas to drive the business needs at all levels.
Any previous experience of a start-up setting or high growth business would be highly advantageous but not necessarily essential.
