**Area Sales Manager - UK (Focussing on Northern UK)** **Reporting to**: Sales Director **Job Type**:Full-time, Permanent **Hours**:Monday to Friday 08:30 to 16:30 (37.5 hours/week) with additional hours at times if necessary **Salary**: £32k - £38/40k per year **Car Allowance**: Up to £7000 per year **Base**:Remote with visits to Suffolk Head Office by agreement **Travel**:Car Hire with fuel costs claimed by expenses or use of own car with UK Gov rate mileage **Other transport**:Flights & public transport expensed at cost **Sales region**:UK; with objective for Business Development into other countries **Responsibilities**: - Sale of company products and services: Weiro, Chippers, Trojans, Hire, sprayers, springwood etc, which may expand to include the BSP piling and ground improvement equipment after training. - Maintaining the customer base servicing the needs of existing customers. - Developing new business through existing customers with new ranges, bringing on board new customers. - Developing sales strategies in your area and setting customer targets. - Analysing sales figures, collecting customer feedback and market research. - Maintaining current knowledge of market products and competitors' activities. - Product management - liaison with the design department to keep the development of our products in line with the needs of our customers and remain current with changes in legislation. **Target**: To deliver on budget targets whilst increasing sales and profitability year on year **Requirements**: Relevant sales experience is essential with previous key account management an advantage, you also are expected to meet the following requirements: - Demonstrate relevant experience within the industry or related product markets. - An interest in, or familiarity with, engineering and/or technical products. - Strong sales, negotiation, communication and "people skills" - Good IT abilities, budgeting and report writing. - Robust time-management and organisational skills with good self-discipline and ability to operate independently. **As the role involves travel, a full UK driving licence is required** If this role sounds like it is something you could do, then please hit **Apply
