We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a **Veterinary Head Receptionist at Battle Flatts Veterinary Clinic.**

**Location**:Across our 4 sites; Stamford Bridge, Pocklington, Norton and Strensall

**Contract**:Permanent

**Hours**:40 hours per week

**Shift Pattern**:Monday - Friday (4 day week an option) with a share in the Saturday rota

**About the role**:
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Managing the Receptionist team, including training and providing support and guidance
- Leading team meetings and undertaking 1-2-1's
- Creating and managing the team rota, including managing holiday requests and absences
- Assisting the Practice Manager will end of day till reconciliation and banking
- Working closely with the practice management team and clinical team
- Supporting with Recruitment and liaising with the internal recruitment team

Additional Day-to-day duties of the role will include:

- Answering phones and booking appointments
- Registering new clients
- Completing insurance forms
- Dispensing medications
- Taking payments
- And most importantly; providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice

**What we're looking for in our Veterinary Head Receptionist**:

- **Previous Receptionist experience is essential**, veterinary experience is a plus
- **Leadership skills and previous experience managing a team preferred**:

- **The ability and flexibility to travel between sites**:

- An excellent communicator with strong empathy
- Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
- A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems

- Salary will be between £24,000 - £30,000 dependent on skills and experience
