As an Internship & Employer Engagement Advisor you will be responsible for assisting the Internship & Employer Engagement Manager with the successful guidance of students in securing work experience.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- To be proactive in generating and developing new employer relationships for the purpose of student activities, whether it be work experience opportunities or on-campus events etc.
- To establish and maintain a professional level of contact with, and service to, all organisations providing student-facing activity including placement opportunities. This includes the maintenance of a complex database and generating and progressing placement opportunities.
- To ensure all student placements comply with requirements as laid down by the respective Statutory and Regulatory bodies.
- To produce timely internship notifications and accompanying correspondence for distribution to students, members of staff and employers as required.
- To maintain a record of progress and outcomes of all internship activity and produce appropriate reports; to analyse outcomes and assist future planning and targeting; to identify shortfalls and contribute to actions to address.
- To produce up-to-date information as required by the Internships & Employer Engagement Manager.
- To contribute to the review of the effectiveness of procedures in use within the Internship team and to suggest and implement improvements.
**Experience/Skills**:

- Degree in a related area OR demonstrable experience obtained in a Higher Education administrative role
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Access.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Good planning and organisational skills with the ability to work to fixed deadlines.
