The multi‐award winning WEC Group is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Marketing & PR Executive /Assistant to join our busy marketing team based in Darwen, Lancs. This is the perfect opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic person to thrive and progress in their career.

WEC is one of the largest contract manufacturing companies in the UK and, and due to the multi-brand nature of our Group, this is a very varied role with a wide-ranging list of responsibilities.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage all social media accounts and assist with the creation and implementation of the social media plan for all WEC Group’s divisions and subsidiaries
- Help writing press releases and case studies for a variety of industry sectors
- Write content and help with our digital marketing and SEO activity for multiple websites
- Planning, developing and implementing effective marketing campaigns for the company’s new Engineering Academy in Blackburn
- Source and write stories for the company’s newsletters and producing of internal news pieces
- Help with the organisation of multiple events (trade shows, corporate golf day, internal awards ceremonies, fundraising events, etc)
- Assisting our HR Team with recruitment campaigns for apprenticeships and internal vacancies
- Basic web design (HTML and WordPress) to help Maintain, Improve & Optimize the Group’s existing websites
- Design of company presentations, flyers, and case studies
- Assisting the wider marketing team with ad-hoc duties
- Being an internal and external brand ambassador for our various companies

**Knowledge, Skills, Experience**

**ESSENTIAL**:

- Excellent English writing skills
- Enthusiasm for social media and all things Marketing
- Great organizational skills
- Strong Digital Skills
- Experience working to tight deadlines
- Good project management skills

**DESIRED**:

- Relevant Marketing, PR, Journalism or English qualification or equivalent in-job experience
- Previous Experience in a similar role (industrial/engineering knowledge a plus)
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, InDesign, Illustrator)
- Basic understanding of HTML, WordPress, and Magento - Training will be provided
- Experience building or maintaining websites
- Experience planning and managing events such as exhibitions and corporate events
- Previous Experience running PPC campaigns on Google Ads, and Paid Social Campaigns
- Driving Licence (the role will involve visiting our new Engineering Academy in Blackburn on a regular basis)

**Working Location/Environment**

Office based at the Group’s headquarters in Darwen, Lancashire.

Working Hours:
**Week 1: Monday to Friday 8:30 - 5:00**

**Week 2: Monday to Thursday 8:00 - 5:00 & Friday 8:00 - 2:00**
