Our client is a fast growing technology company dedicated to providing elegant software to guide successful drug discovery. Due to their growth and rapidly increasing headcount they are now looking to expand their IT department.
Location: Cambridge

As the IT Support Engineer you will support the IT Manager and be the first point of contact for your colleagues. This is a great opportunity for you to work hands on with 1st / 2nd line support queries with great exposure to 3rd line. The department is inits infancy so you will also have the opportunity to help shape the processes and procedures whilst assisting in the implementation of ISO27001.

Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing IT hardware and software faults
- Prepare IT services and hardware (E.g. Laptops) for new starters
- Maintain IT equipment (e.g. printers)
- Managing user accounts, access requests, security permissions and groups, software licensing etc.
- Offering advice and IT support to colleagues in a professional and friendly manner
- Work with the IT Manager to further build and deliver a first-class IT service
- Resolving Helpdesk tickets in a timely and helpful manner
- Focus on developing your skills with support of colleagues
- Help to implement ISO27001
Our ideal applicant will have / be
- Great customer service skills and experience within a similar IT Support role
- Knowledge of technology / IT terms and issues
- Desire to learn new technologies as we grow
- Possess a logical approach to troubleshooting
- Microsoft Windows 10 /11 knowledge and experience
- Familiar with Microsoft Active Directory
- Familiar with LAN (and WAN) technologies
