***About the Role** We are looking for experienced litigation paralegals and assistant paralegals to join our Legal Services Unit on 12 months FTC basis, in either Glasgow, Edinburgh, Sheffield or Manchester as part of a team focussed on a large and high-profile defendant litigationproject for a key financial services client.

We are seeking experienced paralegals and assistant paralegals to manage a large caseload of claims on behalf of the defendant party.

You will be part of a large team working for one of CMS' key financial services clients, supported by robust processes, document automation and automated workflows.
- Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:_
- Reviewing and analysing claimant and defendant documents;
- Drafting and filing procedural court documents;
- Assisting in the preparation of defences and witness statements;
- Preparing for hearings;
- Negotiating;
- Liaising with the wider team, the client, courts, Counsel and the claimants' solicitors;
- Collaborating to achieve deadlines;
- Preparing management information;
- Accurate time recording.

**About You** We are looking for an enthusiastic paralegals and assistant paralegals with strong technology skills and an ability to communicate effectively with internal and external clients. You will have a keen eye for detail with the ability to use your initiativeand work to deadlines. Able to demonstrate that you can handle a large workload, you will be extremely organised and must be able to prioritise effectively. You will have a strong academic background. For the experienced paralegal roles, previous litigationexperience, preferably in the field of high volume litigation, is required.
