**Contracts Supervisor**

**Reports To: Head of Operations**

**Job Overview**

We are looking to employ a dedicated and experienced Contracts Supervisor to oversee major contracts under the management of the Operations Management Team. The Contracts Supervisor's responsibilities will include liaising with clients and managing their expectations, managing health and safety on site, ordering supplies, scheduling equipment and maintenance as needed, and inducting, training, and managing employees.

You should also be able to perform first aid in emergencies.

To be successful in this role, you should be detail-oriented and knowledgeable of building regulations and health and safety regulations. You should be able to interpret plans, demonstrate exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ideally, you will have a background in roofing, or at the very least, a sound working knowledge of it.

**Site Supervisor Responsibilities**:

- Inspecting construction sites regularly to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards.
- Supervising and instructing operatives as well as subcontractors.
- Educating site workers on safety regulations and accident protocol.
- Enforcing site safety rules to minimise work-related accidents and injuries.
- Handling site accidents in accordance with established accident protocol.
- Maintaining an accurate record of site staff.
- Evaluating the performance of construction employees and instituting disciplinary measures as needed.
- Analysing plans and schematics to ensure that construction projects meet design, safety, and budget specifications.
- Recommending changes to the Operations Team or procedures to increase efficiency.
- Managing relationships with clients and liaising with management to ensure expectations are managed.
- Communicating effectively with the Operations Team to ensure that contracts run on time, to budget and with quality expectations met.

**Site Supervisor Requirements**:

- Proven experience working as a site supervisor.
- Sound knowledge of building regulations and health and safety requirements.
- Working knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
- The ability to interpret plans and schematics.
- Outstanding leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Experience of working with large main contractors.
- Working contractual knowledge
- Good level of IT literacy.

**Qualifications**
- SMSTS qualification
- Relevant Construction Management NVQ Level 4 or above
- CSCS Black Managers Card
- Full UK Driving License
- First Aid certification

**Salary**: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
