Role scope:

- Provide robust industry, sector and competitor intelligence and insights.
- Have a working understanding of the industry, our sectors and competitors.
- Share insights and actionable recommendations to the wider marketing team and key stakeholders, in line with audience need and business objective, in an appropriate manner.
- Provide competitive analysis, identify market trends, pricing/business models, sales and methods of operation.
- Be proactive in identifying key insights and reactive to business requirements/briefs.

- Ability to gather large amounts of data and convert it into meaningful information, insights and analysis.
- Commercial awareness
- Ability to comprehend and interpret competitor strategies and market and sector trends.
- Effective communicator
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills paying close attention to detail.

- Assesses all available information to increase understanding and influence.

Knowledge and Experience:

- High level of numeracy and an aptitude for data gathering, analysis, reporting, and making recommendations
- Microsoft Excel to an advanced level and good level of knowledge of other Microsoft Office packages
- Familiarity with CRM programs desirable
- Relevant work experience gained in any commercial area that requires contact with consumers including retailing, sales and marketing is beneficial
- Degree in relevant area such as business, economics
