We are hosting a recruitment open day for those looking to join our PICU team on Saturday 13th May. This will start at 10am at the Highfield Unit, Warneford Hospital, Oxford.
This role will receive a payment equivalent to 10% of your annual basic salary, (pro-rata) which will be paid in 6 payments.
Are you passionate about developing and delivering a comprehensive speech and language therapy service? Want to make a difference to the lives of young people at a vulnerable stage of their illness? Then come join our new adolescent PICU team: a purpose built psychiatric intensive care unit for young people.
You will be involved in developing and providing a high standard of assessment and intervention for young people on the Meadow unit.
Identifying clients’ strengths and needs both in a group and individual basis.
You will provide assessment and interventions and also provide advice, guidance, and teaching to the staff team regarding communication and swallowing disorders for young people on the Meadow unit.
This is an exceptional opportunity to work as an autonomous practitioner who will participate in the supervision of Speech and Language Therapists, assistants, and volunteers as required and contribute to multidisciplinary team assessments.
As well as participating in relevant clinical meetings and case conferences; you will compile written reports, and generate and maintain accurate intervention records.
The team offers a comprehensive induction package and training programme for all new staff including a bespoke week of adolescent mental health teaching PBS training and a 3 day DBT skills based training.
