**Key responsibilities**: Responsibilities and priorities will evolve over time, however the following are some of the specific activities expected of this role: - The Primary responsibility will be assess whether risk of violating Laws, Rules and Regulations, Policies and Standard can be mitigated or reduced by implementing new automated point of capture and T0 near real time booking controls - Perform Risk assessments for risks related to Laws, Rules and Regulations and trade activity - Perform proof of concept for potential new booking controls to reduce the risk of violating Laws, Rules and Regulations which are a priority for Markets - Working with Bank Regulation Legal team, ICRM, regulatory SMEs, Credit Risk, Markets Business and Technology as well as other groups to define requirements for new booking controls. - Potentially manage a small team of experienced individuals - Control mindset and in-depth knowledge of implementation and on-going monitoring, escalation and governance of booking controls and their outcomes. - Hands on ownership of identifying Risk / Issues that may jeopardise delivery and control integrity and finding solutions to mitigate these - Providing standardised and meaningful status updates - Work collaboratively with other areas of the organisation, often taking a leadership role, to ensure a consistent and coherent approach is taken to mitigating prudential risk - Work with business to ensure that issues identified on control which are in RTB mode are resolved taking risk based approach deciding between tactical and strategic fixes. - Support a culture of ownership and set “tone from the top” for complying with all applicable regulations, policies and encouraging a culture of continuous process improvement. - Design and implement business and quality assurance processes, including the design of intelligent metrics, and implementation of effective governance processes. - Effective communication with key stakeholders though out the life cycle risk assessment through to risk mitigation **Knowledge, Experience & Skills**: - Experience of the end to end of perform gap analysis, implementation and business and roll out of new Booking controls, through to BAU monitoring and governance. - Appreciation of project management and working with Project managers and business analysts - Appreciation of global markets trading products (Fixed Income, Equity, Currencies & Commodities) - Understanding of Front Office trading processes across the full trade lifecycle within a large bank/dealer - Knowledge of US Banking Regulations useful **Skills and Competencies**: - Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with attention to detail - Strong interpersonal, influencing and organizational skills to mobilize and motivate delivery in a co-operative and collaborative working environment across trading and support/infrastructure/control functions - Experience of designing and implementing structured business/operational processes and business requirements documentation - Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to seamlessly communicate complex technical issues to non-technical colleagues - **Job Family Group**: Risk Management - **Job Family**: Business Risk & Controls - **Time Type**: Full time - Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
