Playgroup Leader

The Magic Roundabout Playgroup seeks to employ an experienced, enthusiastic, qualified person in our lovely small, rural early years setting, as a Playgroup Leader Maternity Cover.

The Playgroup Leader will be responsible for the day to day running of the playgroup.

The position is to start April 2025 after ACCESS NI Checks, (Playgroup operates term time only.)

The role will be to provide direct support to a child who has additional learning needs.

At least 2 years experience working with children

Knowledge and understanding of NI preschool curriculum guidelines

Knowledge of child development including age appropriate areas of learning

Experience of developing long, medium and short term planning, for an early years setting

Be able to demonstrate an understanding of developing policies and procedures.

Good understanding of Safeguarding Children and Minimum Standards for childminding and Playgroup setting

Ability to lead and work in a team

IT Skills with ability to use Microsoft Office packages

30 hours per week, with strong possibility of increasing to 35 hours in September 2025.
