**Gibbs & Dandy - Yard Assistant**
**Location: Stevenage**
**Salary: £21,500-£24,500 depending on experience**

Our branches are busy places, with lots going on inside and out. As a Yard Assistant, your role will be essential to keeping our branch and yard running smoothly. From serving our customers in the yard to loading vehicles ready for delivery, and from monitoringstock to growing our sales, you'll be at the heart of our operations.**The role is predominantly based outside**, which means you'll face the cold of winter and the warmth (hopefully) of summer, but we'll provide you with the things you needto do the job, whatever the weather

You'll join **Gibbs & Dandy Stevenage**. This branch is well-established and busy, with a friendly team who work hard to offer a great service and excellent product knowledge. We have a sales office, warehouse, shop & counter, timber supplyand customer delivery vehicles.

**So, what are we looking for?**
- A genuine enthusiasm for dealing with customers, and a 'customer 1st' attitude
- The ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
- Confident working both indoors and outdoors, with a strong focus on H&S
- Comfortable in a role involving extensive manual handling of bulky items
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- A positive team player
- A full UK driving license, as you'll also need to operate a forklift truck to ensure our delivery drivers get in and out in double quick time

A forklift licence would be also be an advantage, however it's not essential as we can organise training for you.

**Hours of Work**

You will be required to work from Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm, and every other Saturday from 7:30am to 12pm
