We are recruiting for a Junior Legal Counsel to join our UK Legal team. Reporting to our Head of Regional Corporate Governance, you will support the Olympus businesses in the UK and Ireland.

This is an exciting and newly created position within our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing proactive, business-focussed legal support on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters to key stakeholders, including senior management.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to make their first move in-house from a large UK law firm, with 1-2 years post qualification experience or for someone already working in-house.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Advising on a broad range of legal areas including general commercial, corporate and IT
- Providing proactive and pragmatic advice to the business and corporate teams
- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a wide range of contracts and other agreements including NDAs, supply agreements and customer contracts
- Liaising closely with other internal departments and with external counsel, as appropriate
- Monitoring developments which may impact Olympus in Region UI and providing advice in relation to the same
- Developing and delivering appropriate training to relevant individuals
- Building relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the legal department are involved in all appropriate matters in a timely manner.
- Helping to manage all aspects of legal risk
- Identifying and remedying issues within existing processes and procedures

**Qualifications**
- Law degree or other discipline and conversion
- You must have a practising certificate
- Minimum of 1 - 2 years post qualification experience
- Good knowledge of contract law
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Confident manner and decision-maker
- Ability to use own initiative
- Good communication skills in all disciplines
- Ability to undertake high workload capacity
- Ad-hoc travel may be required to visit subsidiary companies
