Home Intervention Team Leader

We are seeking to recruit a passionate, knowledgeable and dynamic Home Intervention Team Leader to join our Specialist Sussex-Wide Family Eating Disorder Service (SFEDS). SFEDS works with young people aged 10-18 with Anorexia Nervosa/ Bulimia Nervosa and Atypical Anorexia Nervosa and their families, and supports recovery through Evidence Based Interventions such as Maudsley Family Therapy models, group work, and CBT-E.
You will be joining a service of highly skilled and experienced Family and Systemic Psychotherapists, Psychiatry, Paediatrician, Clinical Psychology and Assistant Psychologists, Nurses, Support Workers, Dietitian, and Social Workers with support from an outstanding administration team. Our team is responsible for covering all of Sussex, operating as a hub and spoke model with Crawley Down Health Centre as the main team hub.
Due to an exciting service expansion we are recruiting to a number of new positions, including HIT Team Leader.
The Home Intervention Team (HIT) provides a discrete additional intervention that SFEDS provide as an alternative service to young people and their families who are at high risk of hospital admission.
As the Team Leader, you will lead and manage this aspect of the service, supporting both the clinical nurse specialists and junior members of the team. You will also hold clinical responsibility in providing treatment and intervention within families/carers homes to support with feeding, meal planning and the management of risk.
You will coordinate and lead HIT functioning with particular focus on;
- Management of referrals including delivery of care
- Performance monitoring and management
- Line Management and supervision of staff
- Development of a research framework, including evaluation and audit in order to provide an evidence-based treatment model for the HIT
- Support to review in the development and review of the HIT operational policy
We provide mental health and learning disability care for children, young people and adults across Sussex and for children and young people in Hampshire.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
In order to be a successful Home Intervention Team Leader you will be:
- A Registered Mental Health Nurse OR Qualified Psychotherapist, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist or Psychologist
- Comfortable in providing intervention and treatment for young people with eating disorders
- Experienced in coordinating and managing a team
- Happy to travel across Sussex for home visits
**It would also be advantageous if you have**:
- Experience within an Eating Disorders team/ service
SPFT staff have the capacity to work from home remotely where applicable and in agreement with your line manager.
Part-time hours can be considered - Minimum 22.5 hrs per week.
Covid-19 full vaccination may be a condition of employment for this role, unless an exemption applies. The successful applicant may have contact with vulnerable service users and we will therefore seek proof of being fully vaccinated during the recruitment process.
