**Job Description**:
Our client in the public sector is looking to recruit a temporary Teaching Support Assistant within the Medical Schools General Practice Teaching support team at University of Glasgow G12. This role is full time, starting asap, £11.01ph, initially for 4-5 weeks, but likely to continue in another role within the school. Some working from home would be negotiable.
Job Purpose
To undertake a range of administrative duties and assessment activities in support of the General Practice elements of the MBChB programme.
Main

**Responsibilities**:
1. Work closely with the GP Teaching Team, GP Professional Services Team, and more widely within the undergraduate Medical School to support a range of teaching and assessment activities.
2.Provide dedicated administrative support for the organisation, delivery and evaluation of:

- General Practice Student Selected Components within the MBChB programme
- Teaching and assessment in the GP Global Health Intercalated BSc (MedSci) programme
- MBChB Phase 3 Virtual Surgeries, including timetable scheduling
- The General Practice Community Oriented Medical Experience Track (COMET)
- MBChB3 GP Teaching Week

3. Responsibility for the recruitment of and liaison with course contributors, both internal and external.
4. Arrange and maintain records of payments of fees/expenses to course contributors, and sessional payments to GP surgeries.
5. Co-ordinate all aspects of submission and evaluation of the MBhB3 Longitudinal Portfolio coursework.
6. Co-ordinate all aspects for delivery of the MBChB2 FACCS formative clinical assessment.
7. Co-ordinate the recruitment and payment of GP examiners for OSCE assessments and for all coursework markers.
8. Co-ordinate all aspects of submission and evaluation of the MBChB Ethics coursework.
9. Work with the GP team to edit, collate and distribute annual course documentation.
10. Disseminate information to students and staff using electronic systems including Moodle, organise bulk mailings and distribution of materials.
11. Responsibility for room bookings in support of SSC/IC teaching activities, ensuring that all arrangements are in place for the visits of external course contributors.
12. Assist with the organisation and administration of a range of committee meetings, including the Education Management Group.
13. Assist with the planning and delivery of annual GP new tutor training events.
14. Assist with on-the-day administration for OSCE assessments at a range of hospital sites in Glasgow and the West of Scotland.
15. Undertake any other reasonable duties requested by the UG Medical School Manager or GP Administrative Team Lead.
