Griffin and Brand is one of the leading importers of fresh produce in the UK. We are a family business established in 1967 and we supply various sectors including retail, food processing and wholesale markets with a 365-days-a-year service.

Due to the expansion of our team, we offer an excellent opportunity for a quality focused individual to become a Quality Controller on a full time basis.

**Main Purpose**:

- as a member of the quality team, you will be responsible for the quality of the products packed at Griffin and Brand ensuring that they meet the customer’s specifications as well as the legal requirements and reporting any issues to the supervisors/QC Manager.

**Duties** - as a Quality Controller your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Quality Inspections - label check, weights, packaging and the overall quality of the product. Liaising and working with production members regarding fruit quality and line efficiencies is vital.
- Equipment Control - Maintain and calibrate all equipment used during the in-loading/inspection process.
- some previous experience within fresh produce/quality control
- work well as part of a team
- excellent communication skills
- some knowledge in IT
- a flexible attitude is required/desired.

This is a day shift position from 06:00 to 17:00. You will be working Monday to Friday with alternate Weekends. 10 Hour shifts 4 days on, 3 days off. The days in lieu will not necessarily be consecutive.
