**Warehouse Quality Controller - Day Shift**

Griffin and Brand is one of the leading importers of fresh produce in the UK. We are a family business established in 1967 and we supply various sectors including retail, food processing and wholesale markets with a 365-days-a-year service.

Due to the expansion of our team, we offer an excellent opportunity for a quality focused individual to become a Warehouse Quality Controller on a full time basis.

**Main Purpose**:

- as a member of the quality team, you will inspect each consignment against customer specification and complete a report. You will report any issues to the supervisors/QC Manager.

**Duties** - as a Warehouse Quality Controller your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Verify that the correct product and quantity is selected for the correct customer.
- Ensure that the product is within date range.
- Control and monitor the shelf life samples from date of production until end of life
- Equipment Control - Maintain and calibrate all equipment used during the in-loading/inspection process.
- some previous experience within fresh produce/quality control
- work well as part of a team
- excellent communication skills
- some knowledge in IT
- a flexible attitude is required/desired.

This is a day shift position from 06:00 to 17:00. You will be working Monday to Friday with alternate Weekends. 10 Hour shifts 4 days on, 3 days off. The days in lieu will not necessarily be consecutive.
