As a member of the nursery team, you will assist in the implementation of the Early Years Foundation stage curriculum, promoting a stimulating environment of play, and encouraging and supporting the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of the children. Option for further training to progress and acquire Level 2/3 Nursery Practitioner qualification if applicable.

The role would be suitable for anyone who is seeking to complete a **Level 2/3 qualification **having some or no experience of working in Early Years. To be viable for a Level 3 qualification, the ability to write at a Level 3 standard is paramount; having gained GCSE Math's and English A-C or 9-4 would be advantageous, if you have not gained these previously, Oasis will support you to gain the Level 2 Functional Skills Math's and English. Ultimately, wage will depend on age and current qualification. Rising after completion of probation.

Daily Duties:

- Alerting the Nursery Practitioner of: All personal concerns in relation to the development, care or safety of any child.
- Dealing with any specific parent requests or any known changes in circumstances that would affect a child such as marital issues, new pregnancies, new partners etc.
- Performing door duty (welcoming parents individually and politely when they drop off and collect their child(ren)) when directed by the Deputy Manager.
- Assisting Nursery Practitioners with the set up and preparation of rooms and outdoor area in line with weekly plans.
- Implementation of planned activities as indicated by daily plans.
- Taking responsibility of nappy changes and maintenance of corresponding log sheet.
- To read, understand and adhere to our Safeguarding Children and Child Protection policy and procedures.
- Attend safeguard training to ensure knowledge is up to date
- Report any signs of possible abuse and neglect at the earliest opportunity in line with procedures stated in our Safeguarding Policy
- Monitor children's attendance and consider any possible safeguarding concerns when absence is unexplained in line with our Attendance Policy

On completion of the apprenticeship, the learner will achieve the Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce.

Pay: From £6.40 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
