Laundry Assistant

Location: Warminster

Pay rate: Up to £10.90

Contracted hours: 25

08:00 - 14:00, to include alternate weekends

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Laundry Assistant you’ll be responsible for providing a laundry service for our residents; this includes the operation of commercial washing, drying and finishing machinery. You’ll ensure the laundry area is safe, clean and tidy at all times and that all laundry is processed in an efficient and timely manner.

Some of our residents love to join in with simple laundry tasks, so you may sometimes find that you have extra help as you carry out your daily routines.

Ashwood Care Centre is a 82 bed Care Home situated in Warminster.The home offers specialist care for people requiring dementia care and short-term respite in a comfortable, homely setting.

ABOUT YOU

You don’t need to have previous formal laundry or housekeeping experience, as we’ll give you the training and support you need. What we’re looking for is someone who is able to use their own initiative and takes pride in their work. You’ll have a positive can-do approach, with good communication skills, confident in engaging with our residents to understand their individual needs ensuring they receive the best service possible.
