**The Opportunity**:

- The Commercial function of Leonardo UK Ltd in Edinburgh requires a Commercial Officer to provide commercial support within the business sector on specific projects for a fixed term duration.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supporting and developing customer (internal & external) relationships
- Day-to-day commercial administration of specific contracts
Advice to IPT on commercial risk
- Preparation of tender & proposal documentation for management review
- Attending contract negotiations with customers

**What you will do**:

- As a Commercial Officer you will have the opportunity to:
- Maintain key relationships with internal and external customers
- Maintain SAP Sales Order in line with customer requirements and instructions
- Understand general requirements of pricing including:

- Protect exchange rate variation through foreign currency sold forward
- Protect non-payment through Atradius cover in accordance with process and procedure.
- Draft tender approval documentation including detailed pricing worksheets.
- Draft commercial proposal wording in line with approved tender position
- Produce Contract Summary deliverables for Phase Reviews including detailed pricing summary and contractual records requirements
- Review Contracts and being able to:

- Understand the importance of ensuring that the company objectives are met and highlight areas of concern
- Understand the implications of clauses and seek legal advice where necessary.
- Understand commercial risk
- Provide support to the wider commercial team

**What we are looking for**:

- Ideally you will be educated to degree level or have equivalent relevant experience for the role such as successful completion of the apprenticeship scheme and/or associated working experience within the Company.To be successful in this role you will possess the following skills:
- Effective and flexible communication
- Numeracy
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work in teams and also be self-sufficient
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
