EA First have been engaged to source a Logistics Director to manage a critical account for a large Global distributor.

This is a fantastic role for a senior leader looking to enter into a business and own the logistics operation.

Global Distribution Business.

If you've operated at Director level previously then you'll already have a good idea of what's involved.

This is a strategic yet hands-on role and you will be involved in a variety of ongoing projects ranging from systems implementations, driving continuous improvement initiatives and new business wins.

As Logistics Director you will work collaboratively with a variety of other functions including Finance, Sales and Customer Service.

You'll also be accountable for the following:

- Developing and driving the transport strategy including delivery of the core KPI's around KPI's around cost, compliance, people and service.
- Ensuring the delivery of all transport SLAs and KPIs, identifying risks and rectifying performance where appropriate.
- Creating structure and organisation through clear communication and standards in order to achieve operational targets.
- Leading project work, such as new business, transport alignment or CI initiatives to support growth
- Working closely with Finance functional teams to deliver robust and accurate budgets and metrics each month.
- Creating an inclusive and enjoyable place to work.

The Logistics Director will have the following experience:

- Operated at Senior Leadership level within UK Transport & Logistics
- Extensive knowledge of best practice transport processes and practices
- Previous operational transport management experience gained within a similar fast paced logistics environment
- Leading large teams of people.
- Experience of using cutting-edge transport management systems and technology
- Consistent track record in delivering rounded business improvement and development within transport
- Experience of delivering presentations and reports to senior stakeholders and leaders
- Experience of cross-functional working

£100,000 - £120,000 + benefits

National role and therefore an expectation to travel
