**Job Title**:Community Engagement Cycle Mechanic
**Location**:Primarily East Riding and Hull
**Reports to (Role)**:Projects and Operations Support Manager
**Full Time / Part Time**:Full Time
**Salary**: Starting Salary £22k
**Contract Term**:Permanent
**Hours of work**:37 hours per week - 5 days over 6 - Monday-Saturday on a Rota. Occasional Sunday working. Will involve evening work.
**Role**
**Overall Purpose**
Using your expert cycle mechanic skills and knowledge to deliver cycle mechanic training within local community groups and R-evolution workshops. This is with the purpose of developing individuals and community groups to become self-sufficient in relation to Cycle Maintenance. Supporting Tutors with the delivery of training, enabling the Tutors to deliver the guided learning and assess for accredited qualifications.
This is a hands-on Cycle Mechanic role.
**Responsibilities**
- Providing a high standard of repair and servicing; and ensuring bikes are safe for use
- Providing high levels of customer service
- Working safely
- Engaging with local communities
- Promoting opportunities at R-evolution for training and volunteering
- Leading at events in the local community
- Sharing knowledge and expertise with the local community using the Cycle Mechanic Progress Sheet
- Supporting small groups of volunteers with their cycle mechanic skills
- Providing bike maintenance demonstrations
- Covering the workshops and other projects during down time on Community Projects
- Ability to travel around the Humber area using the organisations van and own vehicle
- Willingness to undertake further training and development
- Any other duties relevant to the level of this post as reasonably requested

Qualified bike mechanic to Level 2 City & Guild, Cytech or equivalent
Full Driving Licence
