Handyman

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- To maintain a high standard relating to the upkeep of the inner and outer buildings by undertaking general repairs, painting, decorating and general maintenance duties where required
- To be aware of Fire Procedure and Regulations.

Checking fire alarm weekly, water temperatures and the essential checks.

Completing of records and maintaining the appropriate records
- To be aware of Health and Safety, C.O.S.H.H Regulations and unsure they are carried out at all times
- To assist with the transportation and storage of deliveries and supplies to the home
- To be able to do carry out basic jobs for plumbing and electrical
- General maintenance of the front of the house and garden area
- Keep the maintenance shed, outbuildings and areas in which waste is stored in a clean and tidy condition
- Clear snow and grit paths/ driveways and any areas to which residents, visitors or staff members have access
- Tend to any flower beds, hanging baskets etc
- Assist with the day-to-day maintenance of the home including any faults or repairs
- To carry out any additional duties as required by the Home Manager

**To succeed in this role, you will need to have**:

- Previous maintenance experience
- Knowledge of Health and Safety in the work place is essential
- To have your own vehicle which can be used for basic shopping
- To own tools for maintenance purpose
- Good problem-solving skills and use of initiative
- To be able to work alone or as part of a team
- Flexible approach to work
- Flexible with working hours

**Salary**

From £11.50 - £13.00 depending the experience

**Working hours**:
Monday - Thursday 8am-4pm

**Salary**: £12.00-£14.00 per hour
