This 12-month fixed-term role (with potential for extension) involves working across multiple sites on a three-week rolling rota, including some evening and weekend shifts.
As a Refuge Key Worker, you'll be central to our service—providing safe accommodation, emotional and practical support, and helping people rebuild their lives. - Develop safety and support plans in collaboration with each individual or family.
- Deliver one-to-one sessions to help residents build resilience and prepare for independent living.
- Liaise with partner agencies and act as an advocate at multi-agency meetings (e.g., MARAC, Child Protection Conferences).
- Maintain accurate case notes and regularly review support plans and risk assessments.
- Ensure health and safety policies are followed to keep residents and staff safe.
- Promote safeguarding and report concerns in line with Torus and Local Authority procedures.
- Support residents with practical day-to-day tasks such as accessing healthcare, education, benefits, and move-on housing.
**What we're looking for**:
- Previous experience in a support, housing, or domestic abuse-related role.
- Experience of working and engaging with people and families encountering domestic abuse and/or trauma
- GCSE’s - English and maths - Grade A-C / 4-9 (or equivalent)
**Interview Process**:
- The interview will be competency-based, to assess your skills and suitability for the role.
**Additional Information**:
Each successful applicant will be required to complete the following pre-employment checks prior to a start date being agreed:
- Right to work verification
