Part 2 Architectural Assistant

**As Architectural Assistant Part II you are directly accountable to an Associate / Project Architect. Part II Architectural Assistant’s responsibilities include, but are not restricted to;**
- Undertaking the duties expected of a Part II Architectural Assistant in accordance with instructions received from the partners;
- Executing professional duties and standards in accordance with the RIBA Plan of Work as agreed with the project partner;
- Executing duties in accordance with current CDM health and safety regulations;
- Executing duties in accordance with the Practice work place manual/handbook and office procedures and policies relating to Health and Safety, equality & Diversity, disciplinary and grievance procedures;
- Execute duties in accordance with all current codes of practice and standards as directed by the Partners;
- Undertaking CPD in accordance with RIBA requirements.
- Be flexible in terms of tasks and time.
**An integral supporting part of the design team your duties as Architectural Assistant **Part II includes but are not restricted to;**
- Assist with projects as needed.
- Drawing and sketching design solutions by hand
- Developing schemes using 2D and 3D computer CAD and Revit.
- Producing documents using InDesign
- Creating 3D physical models
- Prepare presentation material.
- Participate in presentations, site visits, Client meetings, sub-contractor meetings and other meetings.
- Producing /maintaining other documents using programmes such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Photoshop.
- Participating in design debate
- Researching products, materials, buildings etc as directed
- Conducting presentations within practice to staff on projects
- Operating standard filing systems within office for drawings and correspondence
- Follow the specific Health & Safety procedures at each site.
- Contact with Clients, sub-contractors and project field personnel, developing relationships, ensuring effective communication and co-ordination between all parties and striving to keep Client satisfaction at a high level.
- Demonstrate knowledge of construction methods and materials and the economics involved.
- Perform assignments with guidance from others as needed.
- Keep the Line Manager informed of all circumstances that could affect projects or Clients.
- Keep abreast of technological developments and attend technical and professional society meetings and seminars.
- Adhere to the RIBA Code of Professional Conduct.
