**Deputy Manager - Bambino’s Day Nursery, High Wycombe**

Can you make an ordinary day into an extraordinary one by harnessing the curiosity and imagination of little minds? We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager who will be office based for our Bambino’s Nursery in High Wycombe.

The **Deputy Manager** role offers a competitive basic salary and additional wider benefits, including opportunities for future career progression.

Our nursery is a 5 minute drive (1.5 miles) from High Wycombe Railway Station, and a 5 minute drive (1.5 miles) from High Wycombe town centre, up the hill towards Terriers. Our building is a fantastic converted lodge at Bambino Day Nursery in Wycombe. Allof our rooms are open-plan with fantastic spaces for our children to grow and develop in. Our Wycombe nursery has lots of natural light and specially created features. These bright and airy rooms give our children lots of space to explore, play and learn.The nursery is very welcoming and has a particularly homely feel - which we love.

We would love you to join our team as we embark on accreditation to 'The Curiosity Approach', promoting awe and wonder in early childhood. This is a unique style of learning for children to be engaged in the joy of DOING rather than the end result.

**Deputy Manager - Qualifications & Experience**
- A childcare and education qualification equivalent to NVQ level 3
- Previous experience of managing as a Deputy Manager
- A formal management qualification is desirable although not essential
- A current First Aid qualification.
- A sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- A thorough knowledge of safeguarding procedures

**Deputy Manager - Key Responsibilities**
- To support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage, including overseeing planning and record keeping
- Promote and facilitate partnership with parents/carers and other family members
- Support with the development of and maintaining highly professional working relationships with relevant Local Authority departments, regulatory bodies and other agencies
- Remain abreast of current developments in childcare and education policies and practices
- Assist the Manager with maintaining accurate accounts for the nursery and produce management information in accordance with company procedures
- Assist with the preparation and delivery of regular staff, planning and parent meetings and other events.
