Nursery Practitioner

We are looking for a person to join our independent nursery that has an excellent reputation in the local area. Cressex Day Nursery was established in 1996 and was the first purpose built provision for working parents and carers in the High Wycombe area.

Cressex Day Nursery promotes an open, friendly and supportive environment for all of our children and staff.

**We are looking for**:

- **Full & Relevant Level 2/3 practitioner** F**ull time - 37.5 hours** a week worked over 4 full days 7.45-6 with a rotated day of or 3 full days part time.
- _**Smiley /happy **_person that has a_**passion**_ to teach and nurture under 5 year olds.
- Someone that is a responsive **team player**.
- The person has a good level of English and Numeracy.
- **To start as soon as possible**.

**Your Role**:

- Develop an understanding of the EYFS and child development.
- Deliver quality activities and experiences to the children that are fun, exciting and engaging
- As a key carer to a group of key children you will be involved in planning, monitoring, assessing and recording individual children’s development and ensuring that their needs are met every day.
- Use an online portal to upload your key children’s development.
- Communicate with colleagues/parents/careers to meet the individual needs of a child.
- Work with a team and liaise with senior staff.
- You will undertake a shared responsibility for health, safety and cleanliness throughout the nursery.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to the welfare and safeguarding of the children.
- You will teach the children and be a positive role model.

**If you are qualified to Level 2 in Early Years working 37.5 hours a week =**

**£10.20 -£10.60 (£19,890 - £20,670 per annum)**

**If you are qualified to Level 3 in Early Years working 37.5 hours a week =**

**£10.20 - £12.60 (£19,890 - £24,570 per annum)**
