**ABOUT THE ROLE**

**Salary**: £21,275
Location: Sheffied/Hybrid Working
Working Hours: Saturday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Sunday
Due to continued expansion, ZOO Digital are currently looking for an English Editor to join their Sheffield based team. The English Team are responsible for Subtitling, Dubbing, and Audio Description, working closely with project managers and a large database of freelance staff to coordinate work and meet project deadlines. With offices in Sheffield and LA, the core values of the English Team are Communication, Teamwork, Accountability, Efficiency, Quality, and Diversity.
As English Editor, you must demonstrate perfect English grammar to ensure the highest quality translations for our subtitling, dubbing, and audio description services. Our English Editors demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, ensuring projects are completed within deadlines and to an incredibly high standard. This is a remote, home-based work opportunity, but all applicants must be able to travel to the Sheffield office as and when required.
Day to day responsibilities will include;
- Creating, reformatting, and editing captions, subtitle and dubbing translation templates and audio description scripts for videos distributed on huge entertainment platforms, such as Netflix and Disney+
- Quality checking work to ensure there are no spelling or grammatical errors
- Liaising with Project Managers to ensure project deadlines are met

Requirements: *
**WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?**
English Editors must have a creative flair and a genuine love of the English language to succeed within this role, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fast and accurate typing skills are also essential, as well as competency in Microsoft Office packages.
- Excellent research skills - familiarity with using search engines to research people, places, and unfamiliar terms covering a wide variety of topics
- Comfortable with adapting to new software
- Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, completing projects accurately and to a deadline with mínimal supervision
- Proactive, flexible, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Able to work independently and as a team player
- Able to comprehend and communicate complex technical topics and specialized information
- Subtitling, dubbing, audio description and editing experience are bonuses, but not required
