**ABOUT THE ROLE**
**Salary**:£21,275
**Location**:Sheffield/Hybrid remote working
**Working Hours**: Full time - 5 days including Saturday and Sunday
Due to continued expansion, ZOO Digital are currently looking for an English Editor to join their Sheffield based team. The English Team are responsible for Subtitling, Dubbing, and Audio Description, working closely with project managers and a large database of freelance staff to coordinate work and meet project deadlines. With offices in Sheffield and LA, the core values of the English Team are Communication, Teamwork, Accountability, Efficiency, Quality, and Diversity.
As an English Editor, you will be required to create, reformat and edit captions, subtitle and dubbing translation templates, and audio description scripts for videos distributed on a variety of platforms. You must demonstrate perfect English grammar and style to ensure the highest quality translations for our subtitling, dubbing, and audio description services.
As part of the role, you will be trained on our proprietary cloud-based software and will be responsible for managing tight deadlines, while communicating with ZOO project coordinators, subtitle operators and a global network of vendors and contractors.

**Requirements**:
**WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?**
We are looking for applicants with a background in English - ideally a university degree in English, journalism, linguistics, or a related field. Ideally, you will have a creative flair and a genuine interest in linguistics, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
As well as fast and accurate typing, you will need strong research skills and familiarity with using search engineers to research people, places, and unfamiliar terms covering a wide variety of topics.
We are also keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:

- Subtitling, dubbing, audio description and editing experience are bonuses, but not required
- Competent in Microsoft Office
- Comfortable adapting to new software
- Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, completing projects accurately and to a deadline with mínimal supervision
- Proactive, flexible, and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Able to work independently and as a team player
- Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional listening skills
- Able to comprehend and communicate complex technical topics and specialized information
