**Senior Planning Engineer - Rail Infrastructure - P6**

Working on a major Rail infrastructure upgrade in the Midlands region, programme visibility for the next 5 years.

**Location: -** Derby

**Contract duration**: 1 year

**Day rate**: - £500 per day (Inside IR35)

**Role Description**:
The Resolute Group are supporting this Rail consultancy in the identification of a Senior Planning Engineer to lead a small team of Planning Engineers. Leading a 5 year programme of works upgrading the Rail Infrastructure in the East Midlands, includingP.Way, Signalling, OHL and Power supply.

Working within the clients Planning team you will be managing a package of works with in the master programme. You need to be from an Engineering based background so you are competent in developing and altering a planning programme. Understanding how tobuild a railway and the interfaces you engage with on a daily basis. Incorporating things like site access, rail possession, how the infrastructure works and how to create a P6 programme that takes account of these factors.

Day to day responsibilities could include: -- Developing, maintaining and communicating programmes and other time related material to the internal stakeholders
- Working on P6 software, ensuring an accurate programme is being created and delivered by your team.
- Supporting the main contractors project team to provide schedule visibility, to achieve buy in of schedule and prepare what if scenarios to work with you.
- Analysing changes to construction sequence and producing programmes to reveal the potential pros/cons attributable to Value Engineering options

**Experience / Qualifications**:

- Experience work in the Rail sector, in particular Rail infrastructure such as Track, Signalling or OHL
- Primavera / P6 software experience
