Here at Swift temps we are looking for individuals who have experience within the sheet metal industry. (please ensure your CV states your experience)

Our client is based in **Seaforth**, and they are looking for someone for an immediate start after successful interview.

Duties within the business could include:

- Perform powder coating on various metal parts and components
- Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary
- Monitor and adjust equipment settings to ensure proper coating thickness and coverage
- Inspect finished products for quality and make any necessary touch-ups or repairs
- Set, operate and maintain CNC Press Brake machines
- Working with thin gauge materials typically between 0.9mm to 3.0m mild, stainless steel and aluminum, from engineering drawings
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Grind, file, sand, de-burr or polish parts
- Perform assigned duties using manual, pneumatic and electric hand tools and machines.
- Manipulate work piece or tool manually.
- Develop and/or recommend techniques and parameters for blending/polishing.
- Inspect and measure work piece to verify conformance to specifications.
- Move machine control and guides to adjust machine.
- Replace worn machine accessories such as wheels and polish belts.
- Perform component cleaning operations.
- Perform machine maintenance as required.
- De-burr, buff, blend, clean, grind, and polish components/parts in accordance with company quality and production standards
- Previous powder coating experience or paint spraying of metals
- Previous CNC Press Brake machine experience
- Previous experience Metal Polishing/Finishing
- Experience in welding, assembling, or fabricating metal parts is preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material requirements
- Knowledge of mechanical principles and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with exposure to dust, noise, and varying temperatures

The hours for this role are **Mon-Thu 8-5pm and 8-1.30pm on a Friday** with overtime available 6am-8am throughout the week paid at premium rates.

This will begin via a **temp to perm opportunity for the first 12 weeks.**
