**Overview of the HR Advisor**:
Reporting to the People Partner, as HR Advisor you will be responsible for providing professional Generalist HR advice to Colleagues and Managers within the business ensuring the highest level of customer service.

You will also get involved and manage ER (employee relations) Casework, supporting on-site recruitment, and completing transactional HR activity in line with the colleague life cycle.

**HR Advisor Duties**:

- Acting as first point of contact for Managers and Colleagues in respect of all people related enquiries, including Employee Relations and recruitment
- Managing the People Support Inbox
- Supporting with Employee Relations cases and attend associated meetings
- Providing an efficient recruitment process for junior level recruitment
- Collating KPIs / reports and support driving improvements
- Provide Employees with accurate Terms and Conditions and ensure updates are communicated
- Ensuring an effective new starter process for all levels including contracts and obtaining references
- Reviewing and updating policies, processes and template tools
- Ensuring accurate and effective administration
- Keeping up to date with changes in employment law legislation / best practice and implementing this in the workplace
- General People administration, including letters
- Following / adhering to all Safety, Health and Environmental procedures and processes and challenging unsafe acts and behaviours
- Covering for the People Coordinator during absences

**Whats in your DNA?**:

- Generalist HR experience gained within a manufacturing or similar fast paced environment
- You will ideally be qualified to level 5 of the CIPD or above/equivalent or ideally be studying towards your CIPD or have the desire to do so
- Experience of working with, advising and challenging Managers in their thinking
- Proven planning and organisational skills
- A pro-active approach to problem solving / implementing improvements with the ability to spot and deal with issues and opportunities as they occur
- Sound general Employment Law knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail with a right first-time attitude
- Results focused
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to persuade, influence and when appropriate, challenge with tact and diplomacy
- Conscientious and self-motivated
- Team orientated
- Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Office) and working knowledge of HR Management Systems (Databases / Time and Attendance, ATS etc)
