The University Library is seeking a proactive, highly motivated individual to join the Flying Start team in the role of Learning Resources Co-ordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to provide operational support and drive engagement with the University’s Flying Start learning resources scheme in support of the University’s Widening Participation agenda. The post of Learning Resources Co-ordinator would be ideal as a first professional role for anyone interested in following a career path in Liaison / Subject Librarianship and requires someone imaginative and dynamic with an ambition to excel.

You will actively liaise with course teams, publishers, and our e-book platform provider (BibliU) for collation of order requirements and coordinate the timely delivery of resources across the University Group enhancing the student learning experience. You will advise course teams regarding selection of core e-book and associated learning resources, actively monitor usage, and design and deliver training to customers to drive engagement with these materials. Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as numeracy skills, will be key requirements, whilst attention to detail and robust project management will also be essential. As the role will require data collection, analysis, and synthesis for reporting purposes, the post holder will possess a good command of information management systems and be able to manipulate data in MS Excel to a high standard. A proactive attitude, confidence with technology and the desire to provide an excellent service to our customers are the key attributes required. Demonstrable commitment to high levels of customer service is an essential. You should be comfortable working under pressure, prioritising work and coordinating and managing complex activities to meet competing deadlines.
